Highlighted Artist – Joshua Been

Art that depicts North Americas western landscape has never been at a shortage. Fortunately we have many places to draw inspiration and fantastic artists such as Joshua Been to paint them. Born not so long ago, in 1974, and drawing not long thereafter, he has honed his craft to the beautiful work of today.
I find his color use to be his finest skill. The chosen palate allows me to feel the cool air and light scents of the region. In many of his works, you can feel the morning mist as much as see it.

Highlighted Artist – Michelle Condrat

Atelier 1904

Atelier 1904

Michelle Condrat’s website, shows a few of her pieces available today in several galleries in the South West.  Her work is a bright geometric-fadeaway-impressionistic style (my opinion) that is very sophisticated and fun. I was introduced to her work via PleinAir magazine, and have been a huge fan ever since.

Born and raised in Utah and a graduate from the University of Utah, with a Bachelor Degree in Painting and Drawing and a minor in Art History – Michelle represents the region in a fantastic way.
